Protect Our Children - An Info Session

The Tucson Unified School District (TUSD) Board will soon be voting to adopt a highly controversial new sex education curriculum, which they are describing as an “update” of TUSD’s current abstinence curriculum. However, this new curriculum has yet to be published for parental and community review, prior to the TUSD Board meeting for approval.

This is one example of Planned Parenthood’s agenda for integrating materials in our schools, and reaching our children. Consider coming to this info session to learn more about this issue, and to see what you can do about it.

Please RSVP in advance to Bernadette, bnjgruber77@gmail.com

Founded in 1987, Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) is a Christian non-profit organization committed to feeding God's children hungry in body and spirit. The approach is simple: volunteers hand-pack meals specially formulated for malnourished children, and FMSC sends them to partners around the world where they're used to operate orphanages, schools, clinics and feeding programs to break the cycle of poverty. FMSC food has reached nearly 70 countries in their history.

What You Can Do:

We are looking for volunteers and financial partners to help with all stages of this event. Volunteers can sign up for two hour shifts, and in each shift a volunteer will pack roughly 227 meals, or $50 worth of meals at a cost of 22 cents per meal. Financial sponsorship opportunities are available for individuals or organizations at all levels.

It involves training lay couples to "coach" other couples for 10-12 weeks. The results are remarkable, and the ministry has spread to other countries. Nothing provides more stability for children than a mother and father who love each other and stay married.

Dr. Appleby will speak on children often discarded from broken families. She works directly with teens who have been trafficked in the sex industry. This is an unspeakable tragedy. Join us to hear about the truths Dr. Appleby has learned and what can be done.

We would like to invite all that have a heart to worship the Lord in Spirit and Truth to come and attend this worship event. Help us set an atmosphere of Praise and Worship through song, through dance, and through his holy word, all with one purpose... to worship our God the Lord Jesus Christ.

Apostle Warren Anderson began the monthly Pastor Partners gathering in the fall of 2012, during President Obama’s re-election campaign. The presenting question was, “Could African-American and Anglo pastors meet together out of their unity in Christ, talk politics, and live to tell about it?” The answer has been a resounding yes. This group meets on the third Tuesday of each month.

Refugee 101 Night

This is a great opportunity to get a comprehensive overview of refugee resettlement, learn some basic facts, and explore how you can get involved. All are welcome. Many refugee-serving organizations will be part of the training, and attendance does not obligate you to volunteer.

Participate in an enriching setting to gain knowledge on the struggles and successes of a new American. Some of the questions we will look at include:

  • Who is a Refugee, Asylee or an Immigrant?

  • Why does it help the U.S. strengthen our country’s security?

  • How do you welcome a family in your neighborhood?

  • How do new Americans become self-sufficient?

Parents' Prayer Summit

Parents' Prayer Summit

For years I have been listening to parents struggling with the faith of their children. I have also struggled as a parent. I believe that God is the author and finisher of our faith and, not that we as parents have not been praying “well enough” for our children, but corporate prayer is something that gets God’s attention. We need a revival! So we will have a time of corporate prayer for our children. This gathering is geared more for parents with children high school age or older, looking for conversions and Lordship commitments from Generation X and Millennials. We would love to have you pray with us!
